Hi all.
I'm Yumi Jones, a JEEPA certified English conversation coach.
How are you doing?
Today in Melbourne it’s a nice day with blue skies.
The temperature during the day seems to be about 18 degrees.
Although I’m a coach here at JEEPA, I have been taking the JEEPA English Book Challenge class since this week.
It is a 15-minute class from 6:20 every morning.
It is a 50-day reading challenge, with no break.
If I don't read English books constantly, it's easy to lose the ability to read them right away, so it's a good training exercise because I have to do it every day. After all, under the situation of this lockdown, my wake-up time has become out of control. Thanks to taking the classes, now I can get up early and get ready. Since it is a face-to-face class on Zoom, I should look decent too.
Finally, my daughter also started to go back to school from this week too.
Now I can feel that regular daily life was important, which I didn't notice before.
From this morning’s class, I extracted the following sentence. I think it helps create a good mindset about getting on with your day:
Mark Twain once said that if the first thing you do every morning is to eat a live frog, you will spend the day satisfied to know that it is probably the worst thing that happens to you all day.
Certainly..
If you finish a big job first, you will have room in your mind.
My big job today was to write this blog.
There is a deadline, so I have to finish it.
If I do it now, I can enjoy the seminar this afternoon without any worries...
Well then, that's it for today.
Have a nice day, everyone!
Jones
